Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure best in class product quality through sustaining the effective quality control systems and testing procedures
  • As member of the Quality Control Team, drive ongoing quality system compliance and continuous improvement in the facility
  • Review all materials including packaging, ingredients, labels, etc. to assure within specification
  • Test and monitor all in processing product to assure they meet all established physical specifications, quality system and external customer requirements
  • Perform analytical and chemical laboratory tests per Standard Operating Procedures including pH, viscosity, acidity, brix, color analysis and sodium analysis
  • Complete all necessary documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor facility personnel to assure compliance with all appropriate Good Manufacturing Practices as well as Standard Operating Procedures
  • Work in accordance with the applicable Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

Qualifications

Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent. College degree preferred

  • Quality Assurance/ Quality Control experience is required. Quality experience in a food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • Past experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be detailed oriented and possess strong mathematical skills
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience using MS Office Suite
  • Must be self motivated and act in a professional manner
