  • Participate and provide evaluation as part of the interview and selection process for positions within assigned area.
  • Develop, facilitate and oversee the training program content for new hire employees, newly transferred employees and temporary placements within assigned area.
  • Conduct training evaluation and authorize transition of temporary placements and temp-to-hire placements as regular hire employees within the organization.
  • Conduct training evaluation and assess probationary evaluation for new hire and newly transferred employees.
  • Perform area audits, productivity and metric reviews, and general performance and efficiency review of assigned area.
  • Partner with department manager in the handling of employee relations matters to include coaching, mentoring, progressive discipline, and hiring, firing and general staffing management.
  • Manage work schedules, assess and assign position station(s) and authorize overtime for employees within assigned area
  • Ensure efficiency, effectiveness and process adherence for workflow between assigned department and other departments within the Operations area; will participate in cross-functional teams, in drafting and/or contributing to standard operating procedures and work instruction development; will audit workflow for adherence and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that will promote safety, teamwork, and/or company initiatives


  • Read and sign broken glass policy. Follow the procedures.
  • Conduct the Pre-Operational Line Meeting with staff as necessary
  • Ensure the required quality checks are completed by line personnel as required by their position
  • Ensure the required packaging items have been supplied to the production line
  • If required, be present and confirm all filler temperature verification checks with the filler operator when needed
  • In the event that you are relieving the filler operator when a temperature check is required, please ensure that a Production Supervisor is present during the temperature check verification step
  • Serve as the central communication point for the Production Management team for all of the production staff
  • Per the Line Issue Response Hierarchy, address any issues with the production line to the appropriate party/parties
  • Ensure that the proper response has been received for any issues that arise during production
  • Elevate issues to next level when appropriate
  • Responsible for enforcing and inspecting the upkeep and cleanliness of the production line area
  • Drive process improvement initiatives through LEAN processes (As/Is Audits, TPM, Kaizen Events)
  • Attend meetings including directing the morning daily review briefing and the daily planning meeting
  • Stay in constant contact with the other departments to plan ahead and ensure smooth production flow and protect against any potential issues
  • Mentor and direct employees to become cross-functional members of the team and prepare for multiple redundancies to resolve any staffing issues


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3 years Relevant Manufacturing Experience
  • 1 year Supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
