Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

All employees are expected to follow Good Manufacturing Procedure (GMP) guidelines and to follow work procedures. It is important to communicate and work as a team. A sanitation worker is responsible cleaning/ sanitizing equipment to ensure produced goods safe for the consumer and prevent food safety and security risks.

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Read and sign sanitation standard operating procedures.  Follow the procedures.
  2. Work with and around sanitation chemicals.
  3. Properly use all required PPE.
  4. Work with and around hot/ cold water.
  5. Use computer batching software.
  6. Need to be a team player/ work well with others.
  7. Perform given tasks from sanitation master plan.
  8. Perform visual inspection of completed work.
  9. Fill out daily paperwork.
  10. Safely operate a pressure washer and water hose station.
  11. Remove and dump trash.
  12. Drive a forklift.
  13. Work on elevated platforms/ ladders.
  14. Work overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year sanitation/ food safety & security experience in food manufacturing, preferred.
