Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE

Plan daily operations in respective area using production schedule, produce batches of finished product.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prep area for production (startup)
  • Stage and organize ingredients on deck
  • Scale partials of perishable/liquid ingredients
  • Prep carts with ingredients
  • Stage spice pallets in kitchen
  • Use software batching system to control batching process
  • Pull and send Quality samples
  • Test metal detector (HACCP)
  • Perform washouts
  • Seal and label partial return containers
  • Clean up production area, maintain housekeeping standards
  • Allergen awareness
  • Maintain department/QA records
  • Operate touch screen computer
  • Operate air powered drum pump
  • Verify and record lot codes for traceability
  • Maintain assigned equipment/PPE
  • Assist in other areas of department as needed"

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1 year or more related experience a plus

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High motivation level
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Tolerance for fast paced working environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Professionalism
  • Knowledge of manufacturing
  • Begin shift at approximately - 4AM and work overtime as needed

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to handle milk, egg, mustard, peanuts, fish, sulfites, sesame, soy, tree nuts, and wheat allergens.
