    Responsibilities

    MAIN PURPOSE

    Receive deliveries of raw and packaging materials efficiently while ensuring customers receive deliveries accurately and timely.  

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Verifies and documents product received by comparing product transported vs. received; completing receiving tickets to ensuring correctness of information and weights.
    • Effectively labels raw materials when they are received.
    • Must learn and utilize company’s database SL management software to track and manage materials in addition to organizing material on the plant floor.
    • Safely manages strict organization of current stock of raw materials & rotates old materials in front of newly received materials. (FIFO)
    • Audits product quality by inspecting and returning defective products.
    • Participate in MOCK recovery exercises.
    • Enters customer and account data by inputting receiving ticket data into receiving log.
    • Maintains excellent communication between freight companies and corporate office on a continual basis through phone calls and email.
    • Follows all company safety policies, handling procedures, and administration guidelines. Helps keep and enforce both new & existing procedures.
    • Provides account information by answering questions and requests; generating reports; compiling information.
    • Transfers product between warehouses by reviewing and maintaining production requirements.
    • Maintains receiving files by placing bills of lading, sales order, and related documents to customer files.
    • Notify Quality Assurance when discrepancies in deliveries occur.
    • Perform trailer inspections.
    • Other shipping and receiving duties as required.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (power point, excel, word, outlook).
    • Must obtain forklift certification.
    • 2+ years of experience in a similar role

    • Professionalism, problem solving, attention to detail
    • Required to backup Inventory Control Specialist when needed
